Just thought I'd stop by and see what and who this forum contains.
After 20 years of having to try to use our walk-out basement to replace a garage [for storage and work shop], we just had a 30' X 40' pole barn/garage with 12' eaves, metal roof and siding, and a 10'H X 16'W roll-up door built in 12/1.
Now we are trying to figure out the best ways to organize it for our car and tractor repair needs, general storage, shopwork [metal/wood/electronics and beginning gunsmithing [though maybe the last two stay in the basement], etc.
We also have an approx. 1800 sq foot log house on approx 8 acres of swampy cedar and hemlock woods and the house [and now the garage/barn] is on the only hilly [read non-swampy] area, which is about 1.5- 2 acres of mowable areas with trees and rocks [some of which border gardens] scattered through it. Oh, and an 1/4 acre pond with hundreds of koi in it sleeping away the winter....
Thanks for reading, I'll prolly lurk awhile now,
Thomas
