Hi, can anyone help identify this IR compressor?

I just picked up a older Ajax Air by Ingersoll Rand compressor.
It’s five horsepower, obviously two piston single stage. The model number is AJ5E6VA
The only thing I find on Google with that number is

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&client=opera&rls=en&hs=Kok&q=AJ5E6VA&btnG=Search

which brings up a compressor like this one, but rigged for three phase.
My motor is different, a WEG G56H single phase 240.

A buddy of mine got this compressor in 93 (I helped him unload it into his barn), it had been used by his place of employment from new (89) to 93 and when it ‘needed rings’ the owner bought a new compressor and my buddy got this one to fix up and use. But he never touched it so it sat for 16 years with the drain open, in his dry barn.
It’s dirty, needs a power cord, and “needs rings”. So I figure to test the motor (after I get a cord) and if that’s good, tear down the compressor and see if it’s easier to fix than replace.
The problem is I can’t find any info on gaskets or a rebuild kit because the model number doesn’t seem to equate to anything I see listed.
Anyone have any insight, or any way to identify which compressor model it is?

OK, 40 views and nobody can id this thing?

Ran it today, and air blows out of the crankcase. It also seems loud, but the
pump is turning at 1833 so that's pretty fast.

Thanks, but this is an old thread.

I did eventually find the specs but decided to replace the IR with Generic. Been using the heck out of it since.
Even posted another thread, or two on the subject.

Thanks again for the info though. Maybe someone else will need the contact info, maybe even years from now.
These forums are sure a gold mine if you search, thanks to all the helpful people.:)
