Last time I roller skated, I broke my wrist. I wont do that again (in or out of a buffalo herd).

I guess I meant to say, looking for the expert garage building advice..... but I will read the posts here first so I dont ask questions that have already been answered.

by now youve seen the other post. I have 2 projects. one is the deck-roofed garage off the side of the house and another will be a shop out back. maybe 40'x40'. I'm starting with the garage/deck since I need to fix up some water damage the deck caused to the rim joist where the deck attaches to the house.

If I need to pour a footing and short wall for the garage, I pour the slab for the shop at the same time and just finish that up after.
