Thanks for allowing me to join the group. Cold up here in Ontario. -12 C. I’m looking for best way to cut hole in metal siding for wall furnace vent. Any suggestions?

May I suggest you update your location to some thing a little more specific as in future you may find that helps you when you have specific questions that affect you. Regardless of the part of Canada -12°C there or +13°C here given the question I'm likely to say hole saw or reciprocating saw.
how thick is the metal? aluminum or steel?
aluminum I would use snips, steel I would carefully use a hole saw or snips . sawzall would be a lower choice, for me
