Hello all.

Got a "new" house, with an attached 2-car garage and a detached 2-car garage (34' X 20'wide X 11' ceiling). The garage was intended by the original owner as a wood working shop.

It is now my home autoshop.

My shop will be up and operational this year, and I'm sure I will be asking for advise and opinions along the way.

My plans include (complete wiring 220/110 from sub-pannel); 2 post lift (used rotary or mohawk probably); air conditioning; finished ceiling; vehicle-exhaust fans; 2 stage 80 gal air compressor, with steel lines; media blast cabinet; some other stuff that I'm sure I'm forgetting...oh yeah and an entertainment area.

Garage currently is plumbed for air to the attached 2-car garage. It has steel roll-up doors front and back. Construction is concrete block, with a 4" concrete pad in the center, 16" under the walls.

Good question. Budget is as money becomes available, not to exceed $6000. I'm thinking the approximate costs for the following:

lift: ~$2k
ceiling: <$500
compressor:$500-$1000
$1000 unanticipated costs.
AC ???

I've purchased 90% of the wiring and electrical components. Will need to by the wire from the main to the sub, ~20 feet, to support 75 amp 220.

Own the blast cabinet and entertainment stuff already.
