Hello everyone.
I am a Japanese do it yourselfer living in Hokkaido a northernmost island of my country.

I found this site to know how to use/install MaxJax,which I bought last month to
tune or fix my cars Fiat Multipla and Alfa Romeo 145.

I admire this site lot of useful threads and am going to post/reply threads actively from now on.

I have been to Japan (Hiroshima) one time. In the city, few people can afford to have a car because the garage space is so expensive ! Most apartment buildings have no parking space.

Oh,I had lived in Hiroshima till 12 years old and moved to Tokyo and now living in Hokkaido which has smallest population density in Japan.
So we can have a house with a garage in reasonable cost and drive cars without traffic jams.
The regions other than Hokkaido in Japan have hell of a lot of population with tiny inhabitable area and it cause what you saw in japan.

I love Hokkaido but it's a little cold in winter.

Konnichiwa! Welcome.

I lived in Fussa (near Tokyo) for 3 years.

I miss the food of Nippon. I cook tonkatsu, potato korokke, tempura, gyoza and takoyaki. We also make our own sushi at home often enough, including tomago. Getting ready to figure out some more Japanese dishes, like okonomiyaki, onigiri, katsudan and Japanese curry.

Oh,I also lived in Tokyo,Fussa is inside of Tokyo Met but outside of its central 23 wards.I guess you used to take Cyuo Line Orange JR train or Keio Line.
The foods you wrote are my favorite, too.

By the way me and my friends have been to California for a month, when I was a high school student. The former 2 weeks I have stayed in Berkeley and latter one I stayed in Santa Cruz.
I remember Californian summer blue sky and its dry weather which was pleasant to us.
I want to visit it again.

P.S.I just have bought myself MaxJax hoist, from the US,which was sent form Californian company,Garage Equipment Supply and looking forward to setting it up!

We are having a cold early winter where I live. Typical high temperatures would be 2-4C. This week the high temperature will be about -3C !!

It is approximately same as cold as my vicinity in average year.
This year we have warmer winter, fortunately we have had few snow fall.
Ordinary it snows much and the amount of snow fall comes out about 6 meters in one season.

This is a picture in front of my house in December 2008.

Hi,thanks for your message,you're a seaman?
I used to drive to Yokosuka to see an old battle ship of Japan-Russia War.

Dad was, I was just along for the ride. I can still remember all the earthquakes:shocking:

Do they still have gomi (sp?) piles over there, along the sidewalks?

Hello,William.
Oh,you took part in Autosalon Tokyo!
There're a lot of amazing tuning cars,I know.
I have heard about Japanese compact sports and tuned ones are very popular in your country. I'm proud of them at all.

Thanks a lot for your message and being concern about the quake.
Most of debris along the roadside has been cleaned but not complete.
There is too huge amount of this we cannot put them away completely still now.
