hi Guys , my names Glenn, just found this forum while looking for metal fabriation projects to learn from other people and gain ideas.

Just starting a sheet metal apprenticeship (light fabrication) as a career change after being in an office for 9 years. Currently im planning to build a 6x9m shed, and am planing on making some small simple products of my own to suplement an apprentice's wage.

Big on my 4x4's, motor bikes, Fords, retro BMW's, tig welding and fabrication in general. So can't wait for the shed to go up, plus the misses can't wait for some of the project cars to move on....

Hope to learn heaps.
Cheers
Glenn

No wild handy work to report, only a beginner at this stage. Mainly modifications on my 4x4, and roofing products at work (rain heads and down pipes). Not exactly the type of company I want to be with, but can't be too choosy when looking for mature age apprenticeships. But can't wait to get into more serious fabrication. I'm located in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne.

G'Day Glenn and welcome to the GJ from up the road. You may be interested in the Aussie / Kiwi Social group we have. Plenty of Aussies here on the GJ.

Thanks mate, what's the social group?

Made it to Australia in 1999.
Loved it. Would love to go back.
Welcome

Thank mate, would love to get over to the states at some stage.
