hi to the board, very informative-i am in the process of rebuilding my garage- its 17ft wide x 19ft long, there was a previous garage there, the only thing left is the foundation. i am also planning on installing a scissor lift- how hard is it to do framing and building the roof, i am aiming for a 11feet interior height to accommodate the lift . any suggestions would be appreciated- thank you

Hi There,

I'm from Monmouth County. How about yourself? I see you mentioned a scissor lift. You might want to consider going with a 4-post lift so that you can effectively double the space in the garage. You can get them wth 6 foot and more clearance. Depending on your vehicle and the desired rise you want, you maay want to go more than 11 foot. 11 foot is just enough for my car on a 4-post with 6 foot clearance, but mine is in a townhouse so I can't change much there. You're building from scratch, so opt for more height if you can.
