Hi, My name is Kurt. I am a software developer now, but was a mechanic/cylinder head porter/ hi-perf engine guy for 15 or so years before that.My family just purchased a home in Davey, Nebraska. It has an old wood frame 30X40 shop on the property that used to be some kind of automotive shop. I lost all of my tools, car/engine parts and a couple cars in a fire last July, so I have been using my insurance(Thank God for good insurance) money to buy back the tools and things that were lost. This winter I will begin the process of renovating the old shop(so I have a good place to put my tools/cars). First will be a new roof(was shingled, will get metal), and I plan on insulating and putting new walls/ceiling in it because the roof leaked for a long time and the old fiber board material that was used for ceiling/wall is ruined.
