Hello all. From South East NH. Have too many projects. When I get introduced to someone out in town its always "oh your the guy with the (fill in the blank) in his yard.". And they always pick something different to mention based on their tastes, ie: "aerosedan chevy" "monte". "Old panel truck". Etc etc. and with all the projects, i have a terrible set up for working on them. So I've been lurking a while to get ideas and figure out how to get things done in atwo stall garage I can fit a car in, but with no room left to walk around it or work on it, a tent garage with an asphalt floor thats full or junk, and all my projects sitting on gravel or crushed stone (rolling a jack around sure is a pain) I've slowly increased my capabilities with little projects here and there. Added a sub panel, tool boxes and work benches, 80gal compressor etc. I've accepted the fact that my actual garage is more of a workshop and most of the actual work on cars will happen outside. I do have a low rise rotary lift in one stall, and if I put a car tight to the wall, can kind of work on it with space from the relatively empty other stall that's the work shop. So what I an do comfortably is limited. Im capable of most anything auto related, but I want to do it comfortably, not on jack stands in the dirt. But building a big garage is out of the questions that's where the big tent garage come into play. It's 20x24 with a 15' peak. I had a two post lift I wanted to put in the tent, but that lift would need a pad poured and was too wide to park another vehicle next to it. So I traded that for an old farmall and kept searching. yesterday I found one on cl thatd be perfect. So today I picked up an old drive on parallelogram lift that's built like a tank. works great, just a little ugly. But I can sit it right down on the pavement, no pad needed. I can park one car on it, with plenty of space to work, and park another car next to it. But I have no clue about make model capacity etc. so that brings up why I finally became a member here after several years. Im hoping for some info on it, value, did I get a good deal etc. So that's my hello. See my other post to see my questions about/pictures of my new lift.
