Just started to convert my old derelict cottage(built 1860) into my new garage.

Ha Ha!There's a fair amount of these old houses still standing over here,some a lot older.
And thanks,I'll need all the luck I can get!

Thanks for the welcome.Know what you're saying.It's actually pretty solid considering the neglect it's had over the years and I don't think it'll take too much to get it usable.It's gonna make a great home for the '29 roadster pick-up I'm building!

That house has great character and deserves to be restored.
There are so many great older dwellings all over Scotland. I livede in Aberdeen Dyce for a while. Great country, great people and...oh, the ladies!!

flatheadguy,as for the ladies,I'm originally from the south of England,married my Scots wife nearly 30 years ago.I'm too scared to leave!LOL

ddawg16,Scots women are great,they can really hold their drink and there's nobody I'd rather have on my side in a bar fight!
You're right,it's an old farm yard we have,just over 1/2 an acre with an old paddock on the side about an acre in size.I'm in the process of removing the back wall of the cottage to take an 8ft 6in wide opening.
