Hi folks,
I'm in Southern California, I've got a very small two car garage with low ceilings that has been my workshop / storage for automotive, motorcycles, woodworking, and many other activities. I've been working on purging clutter and getting things reorganized while moving as much stuff to our surfshack.
Around 15 years ago when I first moved to California I saw this workbench being thrown out of a Sears Tire Center in Carlsbad and took it home. Since then it has been a cool-looking workbench but not all that usable. It sits low to the ground and the lights don't work anymore.
I'm hoping to put caster wheels on it to get it up to a more standing friendly height. Install LED's to allow the "Lube Express" to light up again and figure out my shop layout to make it more usable in general.
If anyone has any info on these old workbenches that would also be really cool. I'm fighting the urge to separate the rear pegboard and metal frame and attach it to a more modern and user-friendly workstation.
