Welcome from Ohio where there are no rattlesnakes, scorpions and black widow spiders! Shudder. Have a friend in Tucson who has 3/4 acre in the desert. I see what he goes through. I'll take my snow!

I can understand your concerns. In the ten years I've been here south of Tombstone and Bisbee I've seen a few snakes and scorpions but lots of black widows. But I moved here from Oklahoma where we had all those things plus tornadoes. I do not miss hearing the alarm sirens go off.

Welcome from East Mesa! Never seen a snake in 17 years. Had a couple of scorpions in previous houses outside and a few black widows. All which are harmless if left alone or killed in stealthy modes. Wouldn't trade it for the rain, gray clouds or other crappy weather like we had in NYC.
