Hi all,

Just a quick hello from Trinidad & Tobago (near Venezuela, SA.)
Crazy about cars, tools and equipment since I was a teenager... three life-times ago. Recently the bug bit again.

First I have to build two Toy Rooms (workshops)... at work and at home...
Buy the rest of the tools and equipment needed...
Then start the first of three car restoration projects...
Conversion and DIY paint of 1996 4wd Lancer 1800 GSR -to- Evolution 6 Tommi Makinen Edition (signature.)

So far I've gotten a couple good deals on eBay.
I bought an UNUSED 20" Variable Speed, metalworking drill-press...

US retail = $2,000... "Scratch & Dent" price = $500 US
It took nearly three months searching eBay but it was worth it IMHO!

It's a "Turn Pro 401VS." I know that ENCO sell then in the US but who actually manufacturers them? Can anyone give a quick review on its quality? How accurate is it in use?

Thanks.

Thanks guys but what I'd like to find out is what disadvantages to look out for.
Its made in Taiwan but can't find a Manufacturer's name plate on anything except the motor.
Its sold by Enco in US and it looks very similar to Grizzly's 20" VS but that's as much as I know about it. Can anyone help?

Thanks.

I think the machine shop forums like Practical Machinist & Chaski message board would have a greater crowd of people more familiar with that particular model. Stay away from Home Shop Machinist too many pricks over there!
