Hi everyone, I guess I should introduce myself now that I decided to stop just lurking. I've been reading the forums for a while now and almost everything has been super helpful. Even if that helps is just making my Christmas list longer.
A little about me: I live in the Puget Sound with my wife and daughter. We bought a 1926 fixer upper a few years ago and spent every minute remodeling it. At this point there isn't a surface that we didn't touch. The most important part though is the detached 2 car garage. With the remodel done I've been able to do a little here and there to make it my own. I'm hoping to write up a thread on it, so for now the high points are insulation, new sub-panel and wiring, and starting drywall.
When I'm not doing my best general contractor impression I'm probably riding my motorcycle (2015 Yamaha FJ-09), fishing, snowboarding, or adventuring with my daughter. She's 1 and a half so I've got a little while before she's helping in the garage, but fingers crossed she gets some toy tools for Christmas. I work as a mechanical engineer to pay the bills.
I appreciate all the garage threads, lots of inspiration for me! Hopefully I can do the same soon. I'll try to give advice and helpful answer too, although my motto is generally "learn by doing" so all advice should be taken with a grain of salt.
