I live in the so called suburbs of Detroit (Romeo) and just knocked down my
old garage/shop to build a slightly larger and taller steel structure. I had to
fight with city hall to get what I am putting up due to the fact that I was
already over size for my lot(8 acres). Well the new garage will be 1080 sqft
12 ft walls with hot water heat in the concrete and a 100k btu forced air hanging
unit (for the just in case) with insulation 6"in the roof and 4" on the walls. I'm
doing it pretty simple with just a small office/clean room to build my engines in.....
I'm a Mopar drag racer.... retired from Chrysler (engineering, Auburn Hills). I'll have
a hoist in it and ALOT of machinery, lathe, mill, multible welders, tube bender,
chassis jig... just the normal junk.
