Hi everyone, new to the forum and just started my first detached garage in TN. Grew up in South Florida so the freeze/thaw is already a challenge coming out of the gate! Pole barn is 50x60x16 with 15 lean toos on both 60 sides. 1 3/0 door and single hung window, 14x14 & 10x10 sectional insulated doors. Just finished up running 600 of primary underground which was a little challenging! Next up is plumbing, gas and 40 trench drain prior to forming and pouring which from the looks of it will be spring time since Im back in S Fl. With family for a while. Put in 150 of 2 chase line & 5 miscellaneous 1-1/2 lines for elec to reduce my overhead work load! Plans are for a general shop and art room for my wife... as of now. Next challenge is figuring out the heating system for the general garage area. On a positive note my natural 1 gas line is run to the outside of the building since we clipped 2 installing the the 4 schedule 80 for the primary. Gas is at no cost since we have gas and oil wells on the property! So if nothing else I gonna do my best to stay warm in the winter if Im working out in the shop. Any suggestions on a heating system would be appreciated and I do appreciate the wealth on knowledge and experience Im seeing so far.
