Hi there My name is Ryan and i am from a small town called Courtice in Ontario, Canada. i am currently 28 years old, i have a wife (Stacey) and a jerk russel terrier name Jake. I have an 11.4ft X 19.8ft 1.5 car garage that I am looking at finishing. Its a new construction house the garage is semi-finished. It's dry walled and taped, it is insulated on all inside walls the one outside wall is not insulated and the garage door is also not insulated. it has a plugin the ceiling for an opener (believe it or not my old house didn't come with one). currently it simply holds garbage and junk but that is all easily removed once I decide where to start.
What i want: i want the garage to be able to hold one of our cars comfortably and store car related items like tires fluids etc...but when the car is out i would like to be able to maybe hang a TV or something in the garage... make it somewhere where i can hang out maybe play poker etc... Its not a huge garage but like i said its 11.4 X 19.8 so its big enough to work on a car (just did wifey's brakes)
My plans were: Blue and black checkerboard race deck flooring (got my quote via e-mail and this definately out of my price range) so i'm looking for something waaaaaaay cheaper
I'm going to get my brother in-law to finish the dray wall for me (needs to be mudded and sanded) and paint the walls blue and the ceiling white of course.
I want wall mounted tire racks for my winter/summer tires for mine and my wife's cars
I have a small tool box in the corner with my small collection of tools.
I'd like maybe a TV and/or a stereo out there (wife permitting lol) and a place to put my collection of die cast cars....
Lighting has really crossed my mind until i read an article that was linked to your site (how i found you guys) apparently the 60 watt bulb i have may not be sufficient lol
So i guess coles notes are: i want a garage that i can store a car in but still looks nice enough that if the car isn't inside it i could have the boys over for poker or what not
