I just wanted to say Hi to everyone. This is my first post here. Looks like there's a ton of info available.

My wife and I bought a house last November and converted the attached 2 car garage to additional living space. So, I just had to build (have built) a new detached 3 car garage. I need a place to keep my 66 Impala SS and the newer family cars in addition to some work space. We just finished painting the interior this week and the contractors are working on a new driveway.

My latest concern is the concrete floor. The mason did a pretty good job of making it smooth. I'm not sure what to do with it now. A professional epoxy job would cost in excess of $5,000 and I don't want to risk a DIY attempt at it. Flexible tiles would also cost close to $5,000. Now I'm just thinking about doing nothing and leaving it as is. Any suggestions???

Thanks,

P

Welcome P !
If money's tight (and where isn't it?) how about putting a sealer down on the concrete. At least you'll be able to wipe up most spills before they stain. You can tile later over the sealer or do the whole prep thing for epoxy when the funds are available.

BTW how 'bout a pic or 2 of the SS?

Hi John,
Do you know a good brand of sealer? I found a company called Stone Technologies on the internet that sells concrete sealers. Have you or anyone else used or heard of their products?
Re the SS: I haven't figured out how to post pic's yet.
Thanks, Perry
