Coming to you from 23 miles north of Cedar Fall/Waterloo Iowa on a small 13 acre parcel of pure boredom. I've lived on this place since I moved to this state in 1988. I'm not from here.
I'm 63 years old and have never owned or lived in a place with a garage. Hard to believe right?
My 'garage' is a old 15' x 15' corrugated tin summer kitchen off to the side of the house or my reloading room/work space in basement. Otherwise it's a gravel and grass naturally cooled or warmed area in front of the shed with a cardboard floor (sometimes it comes with a built in shower or a pure white blanket).
I still own the second brand new Harley I ever bought. A 1984 first edition Softail. We've been through a lot together. But she's been put out to pasture now. Just sitting and rotting with a freshly rebuilt engine and ******.
I have two tractors, a 1755 Oliver (last edition) and a 1947 Farmall M with an M&W 9-speed that I rebuilt about a decade ago with all new innards in the mainframe. It's a really rough looking tractor, barely any paint left on it, in it's 'work clothes' as they say. But it runs good. I've always been more about function than form. Chrome don't get ya home.
I make hay to maintain my wife's 10 hay burners. Other than that I do as little as possible anymore.
