Hiball - Identify this jack please

Had this jack for quite some time, but only used it as a back up because of the missing wheel. For some reason I finally decided I want to fix the wheel. Anyways, the jack only has two small markings. One is on the cylinder "SSP" and the other "SG" next to the spring located on the bracket that accepts the handle. The jack isn't huge, but it is pretty heavy for its size and is well made. I got it from my father who picked it up somewhere. It must be 10-20 years old, possibly more? Definitely not a recent big box store buy. Any idea what brand it is or how many ton? Where can I get a good set of casters to replace the broken one?

Older import, 2 - 2 1/4 ton. There are resellers who sell stem casters, just get some measurement and go from there. I would verify internal condition prior to buying casters/seals.

The jack itself is in good shape. The wheels measure 3-1/2" x 1-1/4" but I can't find anything that size.

I'm sorry.. I didn't pay close enough attention, I was thinking rear casters which would be a stem type, you need a front wheel. What is the axle size?

Sure does. Are there any markings on it similar to mine? I didn't measure the axle size for some dumb reason...

I'd say they're one in the same, perhaps "S1" and "SG" are date codes? Is your jack imported?

I have the same jack, it needs to be rebuilt.

I have that same Sears jack. I had mine rebuilt earlier this year due to a leak. It's been a great jack for many years.

I ended up finding a somewhat local jack repair shop that rebuilt it for me. He already had all of the parts in stock. I'm sure there are probably online sources for the parts (I saw a few when searching), but if you want to give this guy a call and see if he can ship you the parts it is:

He does the warranty work for the Fisher Auto Parts Jack's and apparently must do work for local Napa's as well since they are the ones that referred me to him.

I was just glad to be able to get this jack repaired. It was my Grandfather's originally that he passed down to me once I got interested in cars. I've been using it for the last 10-12 years.

Any Local suppliers? There isn't a ton of seals that make up that Jack, if you don't have a local supplier or don't wish to measure and order individual seals, there are multiple online suppliers who more than likely assemble seal kits. In my signature is one of them, Lazzars probably does also, just do some price checking.
