Hidden link spam threads

i was almost going to respond to one of them but figured i'd just post up in here; theres been a few threads started by very new members this morning with hidden links in their threads. i dont know how they work or what they do but it looks like some digital deals whatever site. they seem to have legit topics but dont seem on the up and up

It's about time to start one.

My best guess is "Search Engine Optimization" services. Google, Bing, Yahoo, etc. base your page's ranking in results on things like how many unique times your link appears, how many sites it appears on, etc. So it doesn't matter to them that no one clicks on the link, or even can.

Hey, A for effort for at least trying to look legit. Usually the ones I see don't start threads, they just bump ancient threads somewhat remotely related, and just copy & paste a nonsensical snippet of what someone said 6 years ago.

Ok, so i have a pc and i love garage band...is there anything else like it? Something like garage band but for pc. I know garage band is better, but macs are too expensive so dont say just buy it or something. I would like something preferably free.
