Hi everyone, i'm starting work on my 2 car garage soon. The floor is being coated this month and then I will paint and take care of the lighting.
My question is:
I have this really ugly support post in the middle of my garage. I'm looking for options to hide it. My thought was to have it enclosed in drywall, so it at least looks clean. Does anyone have experience doing this? Thoughts on if it works and if i can do it myself? Or other options to consider?
Thanks in advance,
Adam

(Very annoying.) We painted them a dark grey color to match the floor. To protect the doors we also used glued a thin carpet of similar color to the poles. Wrapped them with stretch wrap until the glue dried. It came out well. Can take a picture later.
