I recently did a floor with a gloss urethane top coat and when applying the top coat, I missed the recoat window. It was 18 hours in, i though it would chemically bond but didn’t. Now I’m planning to fix it this weekend. I layed it at 5-7 mils thick and here was the finish result. This was 8 days after I finished, I know it wasn’t a contamination issue because I vacuumed the **** out of the floor before applying. There was no ventilation in this enclosed room and I think that was the issue. Anyway, I’m looking for solutions. I’m thinking to sand starting at 150 and work my way down to 80 to hopefully get down to epoxy, vacuum, acetone wipe, and reapply the same high gloss urethane top coat. Looking for suggestions on anything I should do differently. Thanks in advance.
