like craftsman raised pannel? they arent highly polished except for the opend end and the raised pannel that has the craftsman name stamped into it. I like them well enough. I prefer the fully polished wrenches myself. But My craftsmans get the job done and at the end of the day. is it the tool or the mechanic that did the work?

HOPE THIS HELPS

Got mostly C-man, some SK raised panel. Both have gotten it done for me over the years. There are better, but my stuff still does everything I need it to.

Armstrong , Williams and all the industrial brands have a satin finish.
You will find more satin and black oxide in an industrial catalog.
Retail stores always lean towards high polish.

I don't recall seeing an Armstrong wrench, aside from engineer/services wrenches in anything other that full polish in the last 25 years. I figure they must have made some but I can't recall seeing any, whereas with Proto I think most of them are satin finish but I know they do make full polish but I haven't seen a lot of them. My older Williams Superenches are sating but my new Superenches are full polish, go figure.

If anyone has some Armstrong sating finish regular wrenches post a picture of them I'm curious to have a look.

A lot of Mac's older tools were not polished, some of them were quite rough looking, they hold up well though.

Don't some Cornwell wrenches come textured-finish like that? Or maybe just large sizes like 1" and larger?
Lowes' Kobalt's do.
I believe Sunex MAY make them like that, but not sure.
Other than that, I just know of C'man, Facom & Proto's like everyone else has stated.

Danaher makes satin finished wrenches under a variety of names Napa, KD, Allen, and Kobalt, to name a few. Good basic no frills US made wrenches.

Matco Silver Eagle have a satin finish with polished ends. I hate them with every inch of my body. The finish feels like they're out of some defective batch. The sides are practically knife edged, and they all are ridiculously short.

I have a couple A's in satin finish. I bought them used and I'm not sure how old they are. Could be more than 25+ yrs though. They're combo, larger than 1"+ inches

Teng and Toptul both make both polished and non polished (satin) wrenches. Toptul's finish looks much better however- I don't like the way the Teng wrenches feel.

Just about all German manufacturers (Elora, Stahlwille, Hazet, Gedore, etc)go for the duller finish. I prefer these myself since they look new even after many years of use/abuse.

Post some pics I'd love to see them, I have some older stuff (40 + years old or so) that had a satin finish but most of my "newer" (from the 80's) is all polished, might just be what the supplier we ordered from carried.

I have a Stahlwille 8-10mm flare nut wrench and I must say they are on par with Snap-Ons in that department. It wasnt cheap either so they are probably as a set priced with Snap-On.
The finish feels great and its just light, strong, and very comfortable in your hand.
