I picked up this Hilti hammer drill kit this weekend at a garage sale. The owner said its from the 80's so I dont know if that counts as vintage. I'm hoping to find more information on it. I have found very little on the internet. I found one post that said these were made by Metabo? Under the chuck is stamped W Germany.

I thought Hilti was pretty good quality but I am not sure about Metabo? Any info is appreciated.

I have one like it I got in 78 or 79. I still use it. I never thought about any value. I have been buying tools since my first set in 1968, which I still have. They are new Britain. I just use them along with the remline roller I bought in 1974, for $114.00

That's the small end of the Hilti line, but still as good as you can get. There's nothing better than the older Hilti. Just don't expect to be able to buy parts for all of them.

jack vines, who's still using a very old Hilti.

Metabo stuff is so bad that it pales in comparison to even chicago electric. That must have been one of Hilti's extreme budget models.
