Wasn't really sure where to put this so feel free to move if necessary.

I am looking for a way to secure my 80 cu ft argon cylinder (~7" diameter) to my welding cart. I don't like the chains, or nylon straps. I am looking for a latched t-bolt style quick release clamp. I'm not having any luck finding what I am looking for.

It needs to be surface or wall mountable. Basically looking for something like this.

But with a quick release latch on the t-bolt seen below.

Ideally I also want at least half the band to be hinged so it can swing out of the way for easier cylinder loading.

Does anyone know where I might find something like this?

the advantage of a chain with a bolt welded to the end is that there are different diameter tanks......
my tank and chain doesn't rattle at all

If there is nothing available you could buy a forklift propane cylinder mount and modify it to suit your needs.

Probably just have to cut a few inches out of the middle of the strap arm and weld it back together.

That's pretty much exactly what I'm looking for just in a smaller diameter. I hadn't thought of propane tank mounts. Good call. Still hoping to find something in the correct diameter without modification necessary. Thanks for the idea at the end of the day that may be what I go with and cut down.

True, but to me they look like ****. (I know it's just a welding cart) just not what I'm going for.

Also if my memory serves the 125 cf cylinder is the same diameter just taller, and the 330 cf is only 9" diameter. I was thinking the t-bolt would give that amount of adjustability. :dunno:

If you want to get real fancy, get a bracket that they use on dive boats or fire trucks to hold the SCUBA and SCBA tanks. There was an online weld supplier that sold them for rather cheap. Can't recall the name off the top of my head. Or larger fire extinguisher brackets.
