Hins Dale Boxend ?

Got this set from my Dad. Would like to get some info on them. I have never seen the name before. would also like to know why the size of wrenches are so off I have a pic of 5/16 GW and 5/16 hins and they are way off and some have really weird sizes. any info would be awesome even some "back in the day stories" I would love to read about it

It's Hinsdale no space, originally started in Hinsdale, Illinois (just west of Chicago). Good quality tools with a very cool raised logo on their on the old wrenches. I see a fair amount of Hinsdale out this way.
