I mean, I use my pipe wrenches occasionally at home. Rare, but I do use them.

You are allowed to use them on things that aren’t pipes too. In a pinch, they will work on quite a few different things, albeit not what they are intended to be used on.

I doubt he will use one, so I wasn’t really thinking of getting him one, but the responses here act like a pipe wrench is completely useless in 2026, that that’s just not the case.

I use one to change ball’s on a trailer hitch all the time.

Drywall pan (welded corners if budget allows), and stiff 1” putty knife and flexible 3”, 6”, 10” putty knives. Opt for stainless

Homeowner here in a 20 year old house plumbed with cpvc. When you need a pipe wrench, you need a pipe wrench.

Nice that they are asking for tools.

When I got married, I had no say on what was on the wedding registry. During the present opening, I found one was a box of nice tools with a note:

” I saw there was no tools or other guy stuff in the wedding registry and I will be damed if I ever let that happen again”. Amusingly, from a person I did not know. I am still grateful for the thought.
I always buy “guy” things for weddings that are tied to me/my friends, vs my wife’s friends. I’ve given gift cards to Bass Pro, gave a gun to a close friend, my nephew gets married in a month and he’s getting a custom high end hunting knife. Screw the matching linens and towel set.

What did the fiancé say when you asked her?

She is 1/2 of the equation. Maybe she wants a hammer drill :dunno:

If it’s not on their bridal registry, I just give them money

I've cleaned up this thread. Please be decent to each other or don't post.

I need to do another bulk ban off the most ignored list.... getting stupid again with the same usernames involved with drama every time.
