Ran across this great price on Hitachi 18 gauge brad nailer (model NT50AE2) on Amazon for $ 59 w/ free shipping. Amazon says list price $149 but there has been lots of sales lately on nailers.

Amazon says In Stock quantity of 61 right now.

I've got this same model that I bought at garage sale and it works great.

Lowes currently has it for $69, with a coupon code you should be able to get around the same price, maybe a couple dollars more

If I can ask a dumb question, what makes me better than another? I have a cheap nailer that came with a compressor I got years ago. What difference might I see with the hitachi?

Yours probably requires oil, better ones are oil free. No oil splatter on wood trim that will be stained and visible. New higher end models have much smaller points on the ends than before, etc.

If you trim a room a month or year the kit guns are great, if you do ten rooms a day then you'd want the better ones.

I wish bostitch would make a oiless 23 pin nailer. Makes no sense why they don't. Most 23 pin work is done of stain grade wood.

I just got this one Prime Day for $46.

Will just a few drops of oil in the air intake be enough for a few hours of trim work?

Just a few drops whenever you remember except I have never used 18 ga for baseboard and crown moldings. 16 ga holds it much better. 18 for anything smaller
