Was cruising the web last night and found this

So I drive down to lowes and find why it was on sale

I was bummed out and told the associate that there was no mention about it being a open box item on the Internet . He asked me what I would like to pay for it and I said how's 240 sound? He goes to talk to the manager and comes back with good news , sure np 240 . I was happy

It's brand new never been used I couldn't let that deal go. With taxes I paid 280 cdn. Let me know if I bought a good saw for the money.

The lowes in 19608 has them for $229. Hitachi makes good tools. I am a bit surprised that it originally sold for $499 and wasn't a slider. A couple years ago I paid $399 for a 10" makita slider. The makita reg price was $499.

Looks like a nice saw. I have never had any Hitachi tools but i think they are supposed to be good.

I just bought that saw for $199 USD. I like it, a bit big and heavy for my use but clean cuts and accurate out of the box. Now I have to figure out how to store it.
