No. look at the drawer on the far left below the locking one on the roller cabinet. That has 2-2" drawers, this one has 1-4" drawer there.

I'll get the model #posted up in a bit, I have pictures of them, even. Price...was decent as it is the first box like it. It wasn't full price, but I would have no problem paying full price for this after looking at it.
This blows my C-Pro out of the water, from what I've seen so far.
I actually would have preferred green, or the yellow they used to have, but they're either blue or black now. I like the blue plenty, anyway. The trim is awesome, not sure what it is or how to describe it, I'll have pictures up later.

That is one sweeeet box! If I can ever convince myself to settle down in one job in one location and stop jumping around the southeast every few or so years, a Montezuma of that general size/style is gonna get some serious looking into.

Yep, there's that bullnose, the top edges of the drawer are angled 90* out, and the wide drawers have stiffeners underneath them.
The drawers in my C-Pro have twist and wobble to them when you pull them out of the slides. These....not at all. I set the long drawer against the trailer, with only the one corner holding it up, and the other side didn't sag at all. These drawers are damn stiff. That also made it easier to get htem back in the slides than my C-Pro. I removed the long drawer with double slides and put it back in myself in about 30 seconds. The Snap-On ones I've seen aren't nearly as sturdy.
This box is alot more than I honestly thought it would be.

That's exactly the box I'm moving up from. That and craftsman. While I had no issues with the International and liked it...well, it's like comparing a yugo to a rollys royce.

Yep. When you compare the price per cu.in., this makes more sense. It's also much higher quality. I put the International over regular craftsman, and this over C-Pro, and probably even Snap-On.
As said, it's made in China, but I'm ok with that. If somebody else can spend another $7k to buy the same box made in the U.S., go for it. I sure can't.

Nope, it was "sold" before I even got this one. Once it's cleaned out, I'm loading it on the trailer and hauling it to work. A guy on my crew bought it.
The mdf top is really damn nice for an mdf top. They round the corners, router a bevel on the edges, etc. It comes with the bottom box either way (or stainless if you're just getting a bottom box), so since I had it, I drilled holes and bolted it to the top of the top box using the lifting eye holes. I don't know what the finish on it is, but it's pretty tough.

The guy at Montezuma was taking pictures of my box for the website before I showed up. I have the model.
The people there are great, too. I chatted with them a bit, talked about their other boxes, some of the features on this one, etc. We ran their slant top boxes on our farm equipment for years, never had failure one. That helped the decision to buy this one, sight unseen. I didn't even see it until I pulled it off the trailer today.
The drive was interesting. On the way up, I was doing about 75, a guy I came up on was doing 60, so I followed him for 15 miles or so until I could pass (2 lane, hilly and windy). Meanwhile, a 1/4 mile line of cars had backed up. I pulled out to pass...65, not passing him, 70, not passing him, 75, not passing him..WTF?!?! The guy was flooring it. I ended up doing 90 and was gaining on him...then had a semi oncoming. Well, the semi that was behind me had closed the gap, and I couldn't get back in the lane.I wasn't going to go head on with a semi at 160 mph basically, so I jerked the wheel right and figured to hell with him. I didn't hit him, but he ended up hitting the ditch. That's what he gets for playing chicken with a pickup and trailer in a little car. Jerk.
On the way back, a lady was doing 65, all clear, I pulled out and got up to 85 and was passing her...WHAM! Wtf?
I see her car heading for the shoulder of the road. I pull over and go back, back end of her car is crumpled. Bumper, fender, taillight. Great, I just know I'm getting nailed for it since I was passing. The highway patrol shows up...and by god, I got an honest human being. She told him she went to look in her glovebox, and swerved left and swiped me as she leaned over to get in the glovebox. Luckily, she nailed the trailer fender, which is 3/16" steel, so I had zero damage. The officer asked if I wanted her info, I said no harm, just want to get back on the damn road and get home. "Have a safe drive then. The lady and I need to have a talk." Off I went, didn't take more than 20 minutes.
The first guy I would love to hunt down and toss in front of a semi. She made an honest mistake, and owned up to it, so I don't care about that.

So, what about upgrading your box @ work; lets just fantasize for a moment... money is not a problem, would you upgrade to montezuma at work? You've already pointed out some weaknesses in your box @ work; would Montezuma be in the running or something else... if money wasn't a barrier to your purchase? Wow, sounds like Montezuma is your new choice in boxes; your "initial quality" sense, has won you over! Thats great! Can't wait for the review! I wish I could see some Montezuma boxes somewhere and "touch/feel" them!

If money wasn't an object, I would be going there next week to get a base to replace my C-Pro. If you gave me the choice between a C-Pro, Snap-On, and the Montezuma, I would be going for the Montezuma right now.
I expected them to be better than the International, but wasn't really expecting them to be any better than my C-Pro.
If the 56" ones are built like this, an International really isn't worth it, compared to one of these. Since Craftsman seems to be going out of country, I would get one of these first, IMHO.
By the way, spend the coin on the spring wheels. WAY worth it. I have a 3/4" lip going into the garage, uphill, and pushed this right in. I can't do that with the International. The springs give and let the wheels go up. Also, the International rocked (fixed wheels), the spring wheels on this keep it 100% steady. I was laying on top of it to put the mdf top on the top chest, and got bored and laid up there and watched tv for a bit.
