Hobart Handler 140 - $449 + 10% off @ Tractor Supply

I found the Hobart Handler 140 on sale for $449 and they also mailed out a 10% off coupon this week here in Virginia. That would be $404 plus tax which is the lowest I've seen.

They recently updated the 140 with a 5th voltage setting and a new drive. Time to buy.

Fair warning:

Tractor Supply is spotty about stacking discounts. The TS right by my home would not honor a coupon along with an on-sale Handler 187 two years ago.

The Tractor Supply in the next town just scanned the welder box, then scanned the coupon and all was well. So if you strike out, try a new TS store.


PS - My Handler 187 has been great. I'm replacing it with a Miller 211 just to run dual voltage, but I have no complaints about Hobart.

Try your local air gas if your looking for one first. I got mine threw them with a free cart, a new full 125 cf tank and a spool needed to convert it to mig for a good bit under 600 with tax a few years ago. They killed the deal northern tool had at the time for the welder with a free cart for 449. They sell the cylinder alone right around the 200 range if I remember right. They didn't even know they could order hobart until I asked, it never hurts to ask when your shopping. Its a kick *** little welder for the price.

Stopped by Tractor Supply and saw that this is on sale through late October. That should be plenty of time for me to find a 10% discount card.

I just received that ad too. I'm not sure about that helmet and there are no reviews on their website for it.

I received a 15% off entire purchase coupon a few weeks back and ended up getting the HH140 for $381.40 plus tax. I picked up a Hobart helmet that was also on sale and got 15% off that too.

I am very glad I waited!

I received an ad in the mail with the coupon on the back. They have been hitting my area hard the past month. I got another ad with no coupon on Friday.

If you are limited to 120V in your shop the Handler 140 is pretty great. I really like mine and thought it was a fair deal at $499 and it came with a Hobart Welding Cart too. If you can grab it at $450 that is great. Just make sure it is the new model with 5 voltage settings.
