Hi all,

I am finally ready to pull the trigger on a new welder. Looking at getting a Hobart Handler 210. The only real difference I can see between this and the 187 is that the 210 can do Aluminum (with the spool gun) and has a little more fire in the wire.

Going to be doing mostly sheet metal body work on Jeeps and trucks but want the option to get solid heat on frames for body mounts, suspension etc. I really want something I won't grow out of.

You guys are the experts does the 210 sound like a good plan? Thanks!

You are correct. The only difference is a little more power and built in spoolgun support. But, if you want that then there ya go.

The Miller 211 is also a good candidate, since it gives you that, plus the extra features, plus dual-voltage so you can use 110 power if need be while retaining capability to use 220.

What he said ^^^^ The MM211 is a great machine. I put it in my good welding cart, and I used some old angle iron from an old bed frame to modify that cheapo cart that sometimes comes with it and use it with my old Lincoln Weld-Pak 100
