Hobart Handler 210MVP 120/240 Volts

Hobart recently released their new Handler 210 that can also operate on 120VAC as well as the 240VAC like before, and they call it the Handler 210MVP (Multi Voltage Plug).

I did some searching and didn't see anything about this on Garage Journal. I sure wish they had this when I bought my Handler 210.

i have the miller version of it, the 211. it is a nice machine. i would bet they are very similar.

I haven't used that machine but in general hobarts are great welders and made in USA. I have the Hobart ironman 230 and love it.

The miller version is very well liked and recommanded. The hobart looks to be basically the same minus the auto set. I always wondered what is the real difference between a miller and a hobart.

Contrary to popular belief they are made in different factories but use common parts and share technology.
Blue is made in Appleton Wi.
Gray is made in Troy Oh.

another thing worth adding about the hobarts is that if you have a problem a freindly English speaking American answers the phone. im sure miller is the same way, i just thaught i would add that bit of info for anyone thinking about getting one.

My fabricator swears by Hobart welders. He won't use anything else.

I always wondered what is the real difference between a miller and a hobart.

The Miller wire feed drive unit is metal, while the Hobart is plastic. (Both use the same metal rollers).

yes, Miller is the same. I have talked to them several times, and they have been happy to help.
