Joined today, hello. I have a question about the hobart airforce 12 ci plasma cutter. It has its own compressor, but does it have a port to except shop air as well.

I don't think so. That cutter is for auto body sheet, it's so small and uses a lot of available power from the circuit to make air. Get a model larger and supply the air from a real comp.

Why would you need that if it has its own air supply?
Typically if they have their own air supply then will not have an external port

Save your money Brian, the Chinese eBay Cut50 is 5x the machine for less money than the 12ci and will cleanly cut 5/8" thick steel. I have a Hobart Tigmate and Hobart 140 Mig and a Cut50f. I had the Miller plasma with the built in air, sold it for $300 to get the Cut50 and came out on top!

Edited to say Cut50, not Cut40 as I had previously typed.
