Well ****, 20 buck ups ground to my house.

I guess $50 still isn't too bad. I wonder if I can find something more local and save the shipping......

I'm looking for a cart but I don't think that's a very good one. I'm guessing they are discounted because they can't sell them. It looks like they have plastic rear wheels and no hooks for cord/cable/gun.

I've got that one under my MM135 but only 'cause it came free as part of the deal. It's just ok. I built hooks for the cables. I prefer the carts that put the welder up higher and tip it up a bit so the panel faces the operator a bit more.

I agree with IGN, I have my miller 180 on this cart because it came with it when I bought it. The cart is OK at best. I have plans to build my own. I wouldnt waste the $20 + shipping. Put that money towards building your own cart.

Even if you got tools to make one similar, the material cost will be ~$50.

It's a good deal! I passed though, don't need one.

Trey, At least if you build it yourself you will end up with something you made in the end. This cart is just flimsy. I don't think you would be able to build a cart for $20, but at least you wouldn't buy this one, be disappointed, and build another one in the end anyways.

Everyone is free to do as they wish, just sharing my first hand opinion.

You're probably better off with that cart Harbor Freight sells sometimes for around $30.00. With a better design and the $6.99 shipping it seems like a better deal.

I have 2 of the Harbor Freight carts. They're not very good quality either. I modified one, put some better wheels on it and it holds the mig that I used more often.

Get some square tubing & sheet metal and build your own. YOU HAVE A WELDER!

I have this with my Hobart and it was too short to be useful for my needs. The top shelf has a lip on the front and my Hobart couldn't sit on the shelf without the gas fitting striking the gas cylinder bracket on the back. I had to bend dow and flatten the front lip to get the welder to fit.

Eventually I gave up and bolted on four legs to the existing ones, fabbed up a 15" wide by 20" long shelf on top with a mesh deck to put the welder on. I added some cable hooks and a few straps on the sides to hold right angle grinders. In the end, I have a cart I'm happy with. Still, I could have built better from scratch.

This cart came with my new Miller 211 and I like it. I like the low center of gravity. It eliminates the fear of tipping over when moving around the shop. For some reason I also like the perfectly horizontal platform that the welder sits on. The welder wanted to slide around on it at first and I thought I was going to have to drill and bolt it down, but a little left over non-slip tool drawer liner did the trick. Doesn't budge a bit and the welder can still be lifted off when needed.

So I know Hot Deals isn't exactly the place for tech but here's what I did for cable holders on mine. Uprights are 1" square, hooks are old square bend u-bolts. The front upright is taller for use as a handle to roll it around (works well). A couple flat bar tabs bolt it to the lip of the cart. Not saying this is anything new or it's the best design, but it was cheap (figure 1" square runs from $0.70 - 1.00 per foot) and has served me well for many years.

Looks like I also upgraded the front casters to some slightly larger from HF, I had forgotten about that.

71GoldSS - I like the tool liner idea, I am going to have to try that. One of my complaints is that the welder slides around. Easy fix I realize but a complaint non the less. Maybe I am just looking for a reason to build a new one???

My welder COULD slide but since I never really touch it except to adjust settings it's not an issue. I'm guessing those who are complaining about movement are trying to use the handle on top of the welder to roll the cart? Build a handle into your cable holders (as pictured or similar) and this problem will be solved.
