HOBO just got in some porcelain tile from Italy. They are large format pieces that are 48" square. Price is 0.89 per square foot. I want to install these in my garage floor. I did not find any specifications about the hardness or the slipperyness of the tile. I did read some where on the internet that there should be a rating for these things but I and clerk counld not find any information about that? To the touch they feel like they would be too slippery.

Any ideas or thoughts?

Thanks

HOBO? Regional store? What is the brand and model of the tile? 48" square is pretty big! Got any pics? I had large format tile installed in my guest bathroom (24x24 rectified) because I wanted to minimize grout lines. 48" would be awesome but from what I understand the larger the tile the harder it is to get even/flat with adjacent pieces.

Also you will need to ensure you have near 100% coverage of mortar. Otherwise any weight from a vehicle over a "bridge" will crack the tile. Doing that is hard enough with 12x12 let alone 48x48.

Dumb Me

I meant that the tiles are 24" x 24". Sorry for the misunderstanding.

I will try to get some pictures up soon.
