Been building up a road kit from pawn shop finds of USA sockets when the idea struck me to build a set from each USA manufacturer of sockets I can find.

So far I have Husky, Kobalt, Proto, Williams, Mac, Snap On, Stanley, Craftsman, Blackhawk, SK Wayne, Thorsen, Indestro Super, Action. I am looking for Cornwell, ProAmerica, New Britain, Wright, Armstrong, Allen, KD, is there a company I'm missing?

I’m a craftsman guy and I buy mostly at auctions. I have ammo cans full of US sockets that one day I hope to make sets out of.

I avoid it because I know once I start, it’ll become a quest and we all know what that leads to.

Ok I looked through your list four.cycle that is an impressive amount of work. I should have added I was looking for sockets that would have off corner engagement or "flank drive". Am I correct in thinking this feature only became common after the 80's?

^ I'm still working on that list. It's nowhere near "complete" yet.

I can't answer your question about "off corner" sockets. Most of my stuff is older than 1980, if I'm not mistaken.
