Jeffksf had one of these on a WD-40 can when I was at his house working on our buddy's quad.

Last night he was helping me with mine, I was still talking about how much I wanted them. Got to looking today, and found them.

Definately ordering some soon, since I lose the straws before I even use them!

I have a bunch of those. Considering they don't cost much, I really like them. They work great for your occasional use spay tubes.

That works, but I use some silicon sprays, can of airs, gun cleaner, etc which I always lose the straws on. Buying a 50 pack this week, and selling them for $.50 each to some friends to cut my losses, and giving a few to Jeffksf as royalties for finding them, and helping me fix my quad lol.

I absolutely HATE those Smart Straw cans! I have NEVER had one that works right. They either spray out the sides of the swivel or they take half a second to quit spraying after you release the button.

I will have to look into those Hold Its though. Ah hell, I couldn't resist and ordered a pack.

I've got a couple of those, don't care for them.

If the straw is still around when the can is empty, I always save them.

Also, anyone else like me and keep the nozzle off of ever empty car as well? Be it paint, penetrant, whatever. Keep them in a baby jar.

FYI, k-mart sells those hold it things. Don't remember what they cost, but they are hanging by the lubricants and stuff in the automotive section.

Those things would have come in handy about 6 months ago - I was cleaning my dad's throttle body on his lincoln and the straw shot off the nozzle and went down the intake. 2 hours later, we fished it out using some duct tape wadded on an extendable magnet.

I bought a ton of those. Use them alot and give them to friends. I still have a bunch in the original envelope.

Wait, does that mean I don't have a lot of friends?

This might sound a little nuts to you guys, but when I am done with all my spray cans I take off the spray top piece along with the straw and throw them in a parts box. Then if I lose either piece or the plastic top part becomes clogged,I can use those old parts.

I save both the nozzles and straws too...nothing worse than a full can of something with a busted or clogged nozzle...

I with you 100%

I can't stand the smart straws either, but it's all I can find now. Is there somewhere you guys are finding the old style cans? Maybe I need to find an old stock crate of WD40 cans and bundle of hold-its.

I hate the smart straws so much that the last time I went looking for a new can of WD-40 that's all I could find. So I bought a can of Liquid Wrench instead!

I've found the smart straws are thicker. I have to spray truck door locks regularly, and the smart straws won't fit! Like a fat chick squeezing into size 4 jeans. lol. But I can still order the 16 oz WD40 with the regular straws. That's where the straw holders would be handy!

Yeah but losing the straw while your using the can or it falls out and you can't find it, different story. These are great for all sizes of spray cans. I'm a locksmith and need that small straw not that monster straw that comes with WD40 and yeah it does spray out everywhere. I got mine at an ACE hardware store. The guy in the store said all ACE stores will eventually have them. Great little accessory and cheap. Just drop in to your local ACE and ask for it.

HATE the "smart" straw.

I finally drained what was left of my stupid "smart straw" can into a manual pump spray can and now I'm happy again.

The Hold-it looks good to me, but I can't find any non-"smart"-straw cans anymore. Well thankfully you can still buy a manual pump spray bottle.

i guess i'm the only one but i think the new WD-40 can is the best thing to happen to aerosol in a long time. I've never had one "malfunction". Gone through many cans of WD since they came out as well.

I hate the smart straws too, but if you pop the top off, its a regular can underneath, you just need a nozzle and a straw.

I like those little hold-it thingiees.... I've been using 'em for 5-6 years. My little NAPA Farm store had 'em for about two weeks when I bought them.. and then I never saw them again. I'm glad to see others may be using them. I think I paid $0.50 each for them.

Me too, in an industrial setting. No problems whatsoever.

It's a conspiracy to make some of you fall MORE in love with the "Classic" can. They'll still have small - unknowning - market for the new cans, as well as the big "classic" can market. Plus now they sell the add-on straw-holder.

Worked for COKE!

Thanks for the heads-up, my order arrived today.

I've used 4 small wire ties and wedged the straw in the gap with some success; but it's really a pita.

Now they stay with the can!
