Thanks for the answer...I guess I should have phrased my question a little more specifically:
I am aware of what the carbide-tipped saws are usually used for but am not sure about this: is there anything that the bimetal saw would be better at cutting than the carbide-tipped ones? Would rather have one set that can do it all than 2 sets (cost/space/etc.)

Sorry for the problems. I'll try not to sound like I'm making excuses.... but there are a couple of things working against us right now.
The first is that we have a new website under development to address some of the glitches (i.e. being timed out to create an account).
We are also experiencing massive flooding conditions across several counties right now, which is affecting our business and employee's ability to make it to and from work. Essentially, as of tonight, we will be "cut off" from all access to St Louis County, Franklin County, Washington County, Reynolds County, and probably a few others. This is the second "500 year flood" we have seen in the last 2 years. All the interstates, smaller highways, etc. which cross the Meremac River (which feeds into the Mississippi river a few miles from our plant) will be closed, possibly until the weekend. We are in Jefferson County, MO - which is about to become an island.
It's entirely likely that John L will not be able to make it to the plant for the rest of the week. The only viable path is to drive about 120 miles South, cross the Mississippi river near Sikeston, then drive back north 120 miles through Illinois to cross the Mississippi again. Folks who "need" to make that journey will be clogging the highways, I'm sure.
Please send me a PM with the hole saws you are looking for. I'll do my best to grab them tomorrow and set them aside for your order.
For everyone else, I'll just have to ask for your patience until the flood waters recede and we can resume normal business.

Good News!!
The UPS truck just left and on the porch was my order. Journeyman kit and electrician's kit. Appear to be better than advertised. One is labeled Simonds, US made metric and inch markings. The other box is not labeled but contains another good looking set.
I am pleased and hope you all enjoy the saws.

I had the same problem. TRY THIS! Use a capital letter at the beginning of your email, check your credit card bill and duplicate the exact address from it, use a middle initial....... Good luck with this wacky web store.

My email address starts with a 1! Not the first web site built by someone that didn't get it right. Besides, I didn't get to the point where they wanted a cc number, so they couldn't be checking against the cc address.j p smith

I feel your pain! I did get the deal done but got the same thing, "Your Billing address seems invalid", It did not like the 4 digit code after my zip code.
Got all 51 sizes ordered and 3 chucks for a hair over a $100. Finally I wont have to settle for a over sized or under sized hole ever again. I realized that the easiest way to do it was manually type in all the part numbers in the part vs trying to go to each page separately. Thankfully I'd already setup an account before trying to order so that part went smooth.

Thanks OP! I grabbed the Journeyman's kit and Electricians kit for the chucks, storage cases, and duplicate of common sizes -- then grabbed one of just about every other size still available (~29) for about $100. Being late to the party I'm only missing the 5", 5" 1/2 and 6" to round out the set.

Is anyone else going to make an order? I would like to get a few that didn't come in my Milwaukee set but the shipping is crazy high if you don't order over $50's worth. Maybe together we can get over the $50 mark.

I did exactly the same thing as you
Now the real problem begins, which tool chest has enough room that I can have a hole saw drawer. This is by far the best drill bit deal for me since I lucked into a full set of the Milwaukee Diamond Plus hole saws from 3/8" through 2 1/2" for free inside a box of Milwaukee tools I bought at one of those places that buys pallets of home depot returns.
I may be interested in doing this with you.
Does anyone know if there is room in the journeyman case to stack? Like could I put a 1" inside the 1 7/8 and would the lid still close? Or a 2 1/8 inside the 2.5?

I just received mine today and tried this, if you really press the lid you can get it to barely latch... I will not be stacking them inside. I do need to find room in a drawer for all of these saws...
Ok thanks... I may pass on this. Or assuming the kid isn't one piece of plastic but hollow inside I may be able to cut out where I would stack.. thanks again, I'll do some thinking. Very good price here, that's definitely a weighing factor
I've seen the empty cases for the Milwaukee 28piece show up on ebay for pretty cheap, I was considering that approach myself.

I had the same issue. My zip code changed 3 years ago. Some shippers software has not been upgraded, old zip code worked.
You might also try checking you address at USPS.com. They will suggest the best format abbreviations, etc.

I did the same, bi-metal and carbide. At $2.00 each, no tax, no shipping, it was hard to stop. Some sizes are OOS now but are in the kits. Kits are also cheaper than buying extra arbors. Ended up with 3 kits and at least one of every size for about $200.
Unplanned way to "save money" (girl method) but hole saws individually are typically big $$$.

This may work but according to my calculations we'd still be short of the $50 mark, unless one of us adds some more.
Maybe the 3 of us make one big order?
How would you want to work out shipping after?

I think whoever has the largest item to order (physical size and weight) takes the whole order and then forwards the others items to them at cost of items plus the shipping to them. I'm thinking they will most likely fit into a flat rate box.

Hello everyone - Steve M here. I'm the OP for the hole saw closeout sale originally posted on the Landracing forum, which was subsequently cross-posted here. The response to this closeout has been fantastic. SawBladeExpress has normally been staffed by 1 person, filling a few small orders per day. Since the hole saw closeout has taken hold, a very large quantity of orders has been received, and we have re-assigned another employee from another part of the business to assist with filling these orders.
Some of the orders are quite large, and each hole saw must be picked and packed by hand for each customer. (there are no AMAZON type robots running around filling orders).
I apologize for any delays in processing orders. We are gaining ground on the backlog of orders, but will take several more days to get everything picked and packed.
The boxes shown in this photo were all picked and packed yesterday afternoon, and will go out via UPS today:
With respect to the shipping charges, I can assure you that the only people making any money from the shipping charges is UPS. The hole saws do "Nest" well for shipping purposes (putting smaller sizes inside larger sizes), but they will not nest inside the Journeyman's Kits or any of the other kits while still being able to close the lids.
As described above, many of the individual hole saws would fit in a USPS flat rate box if someone wants to buy large quantities, re-pack, and re-ship. My 2 cents - that is going to be quite a bit of handling, re-packing, and time spent at the post office, and not a whole lot of savings, unless you are buying small hole saws which would fit in a small USPS flat rate box. That $50 threshold for free shipping is set pretty low - adding a Journeyman's kit, Plumber's Kit, or Electrician's kit might be an easy way to get over $50.
Additonally, any of the other items available through SawBladeExpress (band saw blades, oscillating saw blades, jigsaw blades, recip blades, cutlery, pocket knives, etc) all count towards the $50 free shipping.
Side note - the Journeyman's kits are moving fast, they are probably the most popular item in the whole offer. My best guess is they will all be spoken for within the next few days.

Steve, I want to say how good your resaw blades are, I've been a die hard Laguna fan for years, and I would say yours are 95% as good for a hell of a lot less. I've been meaning to grab a few of the other bandsaw blades and give them a go.

Do you happen to have extra (empty) blow-molded cases available? I'll bet some people here would be interested in purchasing empty cases to house all these hole saws they are buying.
Great idea! Yes, once we have run out of enough hole saws to fill all the "kits", we will still have black plastic cases left over. I'll bring that idea up at our Staff Meeting tomorrow morning, and get someone to list the cases on the SBE website.
Just a little background - SawBladeExpress is our "direct to consumer" website that is a spin-off of our main manufacturing company. We are one of the largest manufacturers of band saw stock on the planet, and are located right in the heart of the good old USA, in Pevely, Missouri. We also manufacture band saw welders, cut-off machines, packaging equipment, and related products for the industry. All of our band saw blades and hole saws are made in the USA, by real red-blooded Americans.
Once these hole saws are gone, we will no longer be in the hole saw business. However, if any of you want to get into the business, we would be happy to sell you all the existing coil stock, back caps, punch presses, tooling, welding lines, washing equipment, paint lines, etc. to make your own hole saws for as long as you'd like. The equipment still works well, but has been made commercially obsolete by other manufacturers using more automated equipment and/or manufacturing overseas.
This is your change to get into the holesaw manufacturing business.....

Thank you, Tom! We make those right here in Pevely, MO as well. There is another popular carbon steel re-saw blade on the market, but their stuff is all made in Mexico. We like ours better, and so do a lot of folks.
As a point of pride, and to show that we are for real, here's a peek at a portion of the cutoff & welding area of our plant......
We manufacture A LOT of bandsaw blades, which is our main line of business.
...and if anyone is interested in my personal projects (Garage Content), Land Speed Racing is my main hobby. I currently hold the H/DT record on the salt, as well as on pavement. I'm swapping engines in the truck right now, getting it ready for Bonneville Speed Week 2017...

That could work. I just want the journeyman kit, but I like having a 2 1/8 and a 1 inch for installing deadbolts... but I don't want loose ones rolling around either. I'll let you know tonight/in the morning if I pass it up. When I get to work tonight I'll think it over
