Edit: SOLD! 4/4/20

6" jaws, complete - heavy!

This belonged to my uncle who had his own shop for many decades....from the early 1900's to the early 70's when his shop was torn down so a new hotel complex could be built.

Anyone know about how old it might be, or what it's worth?

It's in KC, Mo.

Does it only have three mounting feet?

Prices vary wildly by area. I'll throw $300-500 in the ring for a start. Could be as low as $200 depending on the location though.

A 24 should be a 4" jaw swivel base. Is 6" how far it opens?

I'm wanting to say Erie bought Holland's in '59 so it's no newer than that.

I'm not familiar with the vise market in your area. But I would say $100.

Jag: Holland's had a pretty simple way of numbering their vises. if it started with a 1 it was a non swivel and #2 was a swivel base. the following #'s are jaw width (not opening).

so your Holland's 24 is a swiveler with a 4 inch jaw and guessing maybe 40-50 pounds.

in your part of the country maybe $100 +-, but it's a good old vise and that one probably left the factory before WWII.

Super, thanks for the heads up....that description fits it perfectly. As it turns out I have two of these as I found another one hiding on the bench under some stuff. Swivel base and 4" jaws is exactly right.....the jaws seem to work smoothly, I didn't try the swivel part but none of the mounting ears are broken off and I didn't see any damage on either one.
