By the time it was over all I could do is laugh.
Just spent an hour trying to squeeze "fire caulking" in all the holes for wiring and plumbing that pass through floor and ceiling of my addition. This was at the building inspector's request.
I never felt so ridiculous climbing up and down the ladder, moving the ladder with one hand while fire caulk is gushing out the end of the tube in my other hand climbing back up the ladder with a huge glob on the end of the gun, attempting to shove it in tiny holes or even places where the tube can't even fit, ended up using my fingers (with gloves) shoving this **** into all kinds of crevices.
Now there's red fire caulk stains all over my walls, floor ladder etc. Needless to say it was my first time doing this. A little planning before starting would have done me good. Regardless, officially hate fire caulk.
