Eternum 961. Made in France. Slip joint locking pliers.

The Eternum pliers are similar to FACOM 501A and 506A pliers. Depending on the year of production and model there are differences in the number of slip joint slots and the 506A pliers have a swivel pad on the lower jaw.

Was curious how these French-made pliers ended up at a small estate sale in Oregon that did not have much of a tool selection. Googled the address and found out that at least one member of the household was a Swiss citizen that traveled a lot.

oooo looks like they made nice stuff:
Eternum wrenches
Eternum wrenches
Company closed in 2000. Looks like the successor to their line of hacksaws and hacksaw blades is an "Ultratools", but I'm not seeing pliers on the Ultra website.

Eternum / Eternum see Demurger et Cie, Roanne (Loire), France / https://www.garagejournal.com/forum...ollection-thread.343867/page-46#post-10323857 /

Demurger / Demurger et Cie, 168 Rue de Charlieu, Roanne (Loire), France / est. 1929 (by Pierre Demurger) closed 2000 / "Eternum" hand tools /

Ultra / UltraTools, 37 Rue des Mathurins 75008, Paris, France / https://www.ultratools.fr/ / est. 1923 / hack saw blades / successor to Demurger et Cie, Roanne, France /

Demurger was a huge operation, claiming to have about 45% of the market share on hacksaw blades in the 1950s.

@Steven 33 that's quite the collection. I think you have me beat.

I know it's not Vise Grip but I grabbed this off FBMP last week. It's made in Taiwan but it's NOS and I couldn't resist. I've never seen one and didn't know Marson made/sold these.

That one is pretty sweet! And I wouldn't necessarily call it a collection ha. I would like to get rid of every single one of them. It's shrunk down some but still plenty left If you were interested
