I'm looking to buy a new tool box and replace the 26" I have. The box I think I want is the Homak H2pro 56". I can get it from Northern Tool for $1500 delivered. Can anyone give any kind of feedback on them? I don't have anywhere close to go look at one and I'm skeptical about purchasing with seeing it in person.

The tech at the shop next to ours has one. I have looked it over and found it to be quite nicely built. I'm not big on specs and stuff, so I couldn't tell you other than I am big on well built stuff and found it to be pretty decent.

I have a 41" h2pro that I use as a cart. Its well built for its price point. Mine's pretty heavily loaded down and I roll it around wherever I need and I foresee no issues with it. You'll want to find a way to secure the liners to the drawer, they'll tend to slide and bunch up, even with weight on them.

I think Homak has a few different lines of boxes and that looks like one of their nice professional ones. They used to be US made, is that one?

I have the 36" H2pro, it's a *************. The box itself is fairly well built. The slides and locking mechanism are garbage. Mine is about 3 and a half years old. 3 of the slides have failed with another on it's way. The lock mechanism has failed. Trying to get them to warranty it is not easy.

My 1980 vintage Snap-on boxes have had 1 slide replaced and 1 lock cylinder.

My new Kennedy is very nice. I should have known better than to buy a cheap Chinese tool box. Lesson learned.

I own the 56" and I wouldn't buy it again. I would buy used snap on, mac or lista.

Wow not exactly what I was expecting to here about this line of boxes. I was torn between this box and a Masterforce, maybe I should go back to liking the Masterforce?

We probably have ten guys in our shop with the Masterforce boxes. The rubber peeled off the casters on a few of them, Menard's replaced them. Other than that they seem to be all right.

Since my Homak fiasco, I've looked closely at the slides in several cheap tool boxes. I really wonder what the standard for load rating is. They seem to be all over the place as far as metal gauges and tolerances go.

Sometimes you get exactly what you pay for. I'll stick with US made boxes.

I am just a weekend warrior that doesn't wrench for money so it's hard to justify cost on a high end box. My current box is a craftsman 26" with non roller slides and it has held up for almost 20 years but I have out grown it and want something bigger without a snap on price. Don't care for the US General only coming in red and the husky boxes are junk so I thought these might be a better alternative. I've seen the boxes from strictly toolboxes and they are pretty nice but the Homak stood out with the 8 year warranty.
