So I was just in my local napa and they have 41 inch homak top and bottom chests as a pair for $799. It also showed available add ons like side lockers and such. I was in a rush as I was on lunch break but does anyone have one of these or familiar with them? How is the quality?

Thanks guys

I bought a Homark 41" at Costco nearly 20 years ago. Used a lot, but not day to day professional use. It's held up well with no major defects or problems. I added two HF side cabinets but just plane outgrew it.
Moved up to GatorBuilt 72" from Toolboxes.com, but kept HF side cabinets as under bench floor mounts

At $799 you could do much worse

My FIL has the narrower version of that stack. I'm sure its at least 10 years old, so they may have changed since his were bought. I was surprised how sturdy they are, compared to what I was expecting.

pricey for the spec .
HF is 100bucks cheaper and better spec
spend another 100bucks (offer till 24th) and you get masterforce which big step up in quality, drawer latching and drawer sizing plus get color choices .

Which product line? Homak has several different product lines from inexpensive home boxes to a Pro line that costs quite a bit more.

Picked up the Blue 41" top box at Northern Tool for $219, no complaints whatsoever.

It SE series, napa do the tool chest combo at 779.99
it a pretty light weight box, 20ga frame 23ga drawers, about 88lb load per drawer :-/
HF 44" way better buy if want lowbudget or if can spend little more the masterforce when on a sale (11% rebate currently) is massive upgrade for few bucks more .

I picked up a red 41" Homak top and bottom set off CL a few months ago. I kept the bottom and sold the top to a friend. We're both happy with them. Seem to be pretty sturdy boxes.

I have a 56" H2Pro and I wouldn't buy it again. Very low quality.

I have a Homak GT series stack. Paid $350 for it through a fluke farm and fleet black friday deal. I would say for that price it's a great box. for $700 I would pass. Save up another couple hundred for the Husky 56" box. IMO the 40-48" just aren't wide enough for a mechanic, and 16 or 18" drawers are not deep enough. I do really want a Homak service cart though....

I have the 41" Pro stack, Northern Tool occasionally has it for $550 if you have one in your area.

As to the HF vs Homak debate, I think the Homak is just as good as the HF boxes and has the extra benefit of a much better warranty and parts availability.

Homak SE is no way as good as HF 44 56 or 72 boxes, it also about 100bucks more.
The SE boxes are real flimsy. best picks from Husky, HF or Masterforce range gives you best bang for buck boxes .
