Home AC help PLEASE!!!

thermostat got knocked off the wall, it an American standard touch screen. Went into several pieces so we put it all back together and the screen works but the AC will not come on. Put on a diff thermostat and nothing. pulled the manual up on line and it says I have to have power at pin B and RC which I do not. It worked fin before, so what happened? If you can help please do PM if needed so we can talk and help me troubleshoot this. We just bought this house and living in Florida have to get this going thanks all.

Nope has a quick disconnect at thermostat, and no power at air handler thermal strip

So no 24 v in the air handler? May have been you shorted the control transformer, depending on age trane/American standard have different setups, but most likely there is a fuse blown, or a popped circuit breaker. When you have the panel off the unit shut the power off,when your poking around in there it's easy to get zapped. Andy

If it is a furnace, be sure the door switch is made when you put It back.

so no 24v on terminal strip in air handler. look for a fuse in circuit board or a breaker on the transformer. make sure door switch is made.
