I had seen 3 of the 350S on the peg so I bought one, I have a few ChannelLock tools and debated even buying one. But I could just buy what I find then let members know when I post that there are extras available. That would be fine to me.

JASTECH: If you were able to find another pair of the 350S, I might be interested in taking it off your hands. Been trying to put together a small tool assortment/kit for my brother when he gets back from Afghanistan.

My Home Depot's been out of the 350S for some time now.

Frankly, I don't *need* them, but I don't feel like giving them back to HD either (hey, it was a good deal). Happy to pass it along at cost + shipping. Might even be able to dig up some slightly used tools that I need to clear out as well. Let me know what you're looking for.

Compound pliers look a LOT like the Titan branded ones I bought a few months ago, do they say made in USA anyplace?

after sitting in traffic for an hour (15 mile trip), made a side trip to the orange box. the channelock linesmans were 14.95 ish, no crescent type pliers in stock.
anyone picking up the 350 cheap, i would take them off your hands.

Arch, I will go back to HD this week and will look for more 350S Channels.

I also still have the Irwin chalk line, all they had was four and I bought them at 4.00 each so 3 extra.
Same for them Clauss Util.knifes.

I was in Home Depot the other day picking up some lumber and I noticed a pair of Channellock fencing pliers on the clearance end cap for $12. Although I already have a pair, an avid hunter can't have too many pairs of fencing pliers.

I hit the local HD after work today and scored the 350S for $12 and the 909 crimpers for $9. I thought I was going to be out of luck as I couldn't find any clearance stuff near the tool department. Finally spotted them on the end of a row near the lumber. Talk about hiding things!

My local HD only had Channelock Diagonal Cutting Pliers on clearance at half off for $9. I paid $8.10 (Mil Discount) and got two

The town I live in has every store but the "lite" version. Our Home Depot, Kroger, Walmart, etc have 90% of what a store would have in a bigger city. I HATE that. The Holland Home Depot has like WAY more stuff than the BG Home Depot.

I couldn't find these ChannelLocks on clearance at my HD, but I did find and buy a mini 1/4" ratchet for 30 cents and a ratcheting screwdriver for 50 cents.

Not exactly tool related, but the other day while cruising the aisles looking for yellow clearance tags, I spied Schlage door knobs (the lever type, not round knobs) in a pattern we already have a few.

Price? Marked down from $36 to $8.43. Bought every one they had in oil rubbed bronze. Will change every knob in the house (around 20) and put the rest away.

Anyone looking for a sku, let me know.

It's all about Home Depot's deal with Stanley. The new DeWalt hand tools are coming out and that is what is going to sell.

well that's not the case here...

a few weeks ago, i bought the channel locks, vice grips and crescents they had on sale...went to 3 different chepo's to get different items - they hardly had any stock left of any of these brands let alone the clearance items

today... i went to the same 3 chepo's... not one item was on sale, yet the shelves were fully stocked with every imaginable channel lock, vice grips and a few crescents.... all new stock items.

You can't expect big chain stores to make sense, Home Depot in my area bought a Kmart location in the big downsize with Sears a few years back, and its 2 miles from a main HD store in the same town, reason, keep out Lowes. The store only does OK business, and some of that comes at the expense of the other store, but it does a heck of job of keeping the nearest Lowest 10 miles away.

BTW we also have in Santa Ana a regional sized Home Depot, almost a full city block with just a few non competing stores like Staples in with it. Unfortunately the high traffic means bargains don't hang around unless its some odd stuff. All together I think we have six or eight HD stores within about 12 miles.
