Got to HD at 5:45 am and was number 20 going in. They didn't have anymore of the boxes. I should have bought it when I was looking at it but I wasn't sure so I waited. I didn't like the others so I passed. Went to lowe's and couldn't find anything I liked. Went to HF as a back up plan and got a 30" 5 Drawer U.S. General in Slate Grey for in my smaller garage. HD wouldn't adjust price if I ordered online and they don't ship store to store.

honestly, I've got a lot of tools and wouldn't look askance at some deals, but I'm just not seeing any real deals this year. and the deals that are out there I either don't need or don't want. ☹️

Should have looked at the Special Buy of the Day. 72" on sale, plus "free" extra cabinet or hutch, that you don't necessarily have to keep, bringing it to $955

I bit on the 72" Husky Pro, got the overhead cabinet which I'll be returning as I don't need it. Pretty nice for less than $1k.

try to cancel within the first 30 min of ordering. I figure if I can try to save a little labor on their end, might as well. At least if you are picking up, it should be an option usually. Thats my plan if I get a little tipsy, and decide to order.

I bit on the Box deal as well. Do you do the 'request to cancel' and then just choose the overhead Locker?

Thanks in advance.

I didn't see this. I don't know how I missed it?? Esp. with the free cabinet. I can't view the link from work as the IT guy has it blocked which is probably best so I can cry alone when I see it.

I wasn't able to cancel the lockers since waited too long. Guess I will return them when I go to pick the box up.

It almost seems like maybe these boxes are being discontinued. It shows a couple large Gearwrench boxes at the high end of the price scale and the Husky boxes are missing.

I think there are some major supply issues for tool chests still. Most Milwaukee chests have become impossible to find. I actually was just looking what my Milwaukee 56" was selling for (to switch to the Husky), and HD listed at $1999 but out of stock on Friday for the first day of the Husky deal.
The Farm & Fleets that seemed to always have several Milwaukee chest sizes available, have only had a couple tops they have clearanced out the last couple months.

Miraculously, the day all the storage was Special Buy of the Day, HD had 50 or so of *my* Milwaukee with an additional letter attached to the model, for like $1700. Still way north of what I paid.

In all the investments I've made, tool chests seem to have been one of my better picks. Milwaukee 60" work bench has quadrupled in price for what I paid, and this 56" has also gone up significantly.

My clearance 'pro' box is ready to be picked up. I was wondering if anybody picked theirs up yet and how was doing the return of the side lockers or overhead box? And what do folks think of the build quality?

Thanks

Picked it up and it's everything I hoped it would be and more!!! Very heavy, used a liftgate and a forklift to load/unload. I didn't pick up the side locker yet or try and return any parts. If anyone in Southern California ordered and does not want the hutch or a side locker in black, I would be very interested in purchasing it from you...

Thank you for posting this amazing deal!

I picked the pro box up yesterday and it's a beast. After getting it home, I did notice some minor shipping damage, and I could have lived with it, but spoke to customer service anyway and they issued a credit for it. Regarding the top lockers, I was only able to cancel them after they shipped (weird I know, but that is what the rep said). Overall I am happy with the box and now have to clean out the old one it's replacing and figure out where to put everything.

Did anyone in here buy the workbench with the side locker(s)? I have a pair of 72" boxes with hutches, I'm trying to track down some black side cabinets.

If anyone is in NorCal, I have a 72" Pro Duty box + hutch I'm open to selling. I'll make a classified ad pretty soon. Black lower, red upper, i wrapped the drawers in matching red Oracal 651 vinyl, 100% brand new.
