I need to stop going to hd. Spent $1300 on 4k worth of tool boxes. Early Christmas for my pops and brother.

Nice score on the tool boxes. Do you think it might have been a special order item that was canceled?

I tried the price match on those Husky 41" boxes at my local stores but they said no way they could take that hit. Offered me $100 off. If anyone can get me one and you are within a few hours of Richmond, VA I would drive to you and haul it home. I'll also give you $50 on top for your trouble. If anyone can help, please PM me. Thanks.

Just got a bunch of Porter cable Brad nails and finish nails for a penny each. Funny part is they showed 42 cents in price check app but scanned a penny.

Went back today for my first attempt at return/rebuy since they won't do price adjustments...I just checked the prices last week and they had finally dropped to 75% so figured I would go back today. I bought the items approximately three weeks ago. Somehow all of my items were showing a penny in their system so they refused to do anything for me. It's Sunday so I didn't do any complaining since there is never a manager on the weekends....Any advice? Should I call corporate or just call the manager on Monday?

So.. Just return them. They will with receipt. Then take them out of the return bin and rebuy.

They said it's a penny which means it was removed from the system and can no longer be purchased! haha what lies..

If I returned it they would make sure I couldn't get my hands back on it. Even if I did they would follow me and not let me pay for it.

Well.. They have to sell it if it rings up a penny.

As for returning it and them not letting it back out of the return bin I'd go to a different store. Return as usual with receipt and then walk over and get out of the return bin.

This is all assuming the system doesn't alert them the return is valued at a penny now and instructs them to not put back out as floor stock. If so then no go.

Call corporate. If it is still active they have to refund the price difference within 30 days. If it isn't active (not inactive, this is different) then they don't have to refund you anything except the last active clearance price.

Yea, I'll see what they say..I will gladly even pay the last discounted price. Apparently their price adjustment period is only 14 days after purchase.

Not sure about Home Depot official policy on price adjustments for clearance items but trying to adjust it for a penny is beyond ridiculous.

what's the difference between not active and inactive? is active a penny and inactive is where register won't let you buy it at all?

also, are you saying there is a possibility you will not get a refund for the price you paid within the refund period( assuming you have the receipt of course)?

Inactive means it will still ring up but the ordering system will not order more. Not active means the sku doesn't ring up at all. It has been removed from the system.

Yea, I wouldn't do that for a penny...I wanted the price before that which is what I last saw on the computer.

All of the Porter Cable Brad/finish nails I found on a stand out back in either one of the lumber aisles, or doors/windows. Every store had them. It's a small stand right in the middle of the aisle. All of the nails that don't end with a "-1" at the end of the model number are on clearance or a penny.

Also found 3 big boxes of Hitachi wide crown staples for a penny each. Any Hitachi product around here is either a penny or at the last stage of clearance.
